STUDENT RESEARCH PRESENTATIONS

Over the course of the semester, ACE students work in teams to conduct a formal research project. Each project looks at a social justice topic chosen by the students.  Students present their research findings at the end of the fall and spring semesters in a public forum.

Past presentations have included titles such as:

Drug and Alcohol Abuse within the Community
Concerns and Awareness over the Effects of Water Pollution
Understanding Child Abuse in our Community
Health Care Affordability in Santa Cruz County
Community Attitudes concerning Discrimination towards Immigrants

Their achievement is witnessed by an audience of peers, professors, family, friends and community members. Please join us for this important rite of passage!

Contact the Learning Communities Center for upcoming presentation dates, times and locations.
