There are few locations more compelling to earn your degree or certificate than in the Monterey Bay Area of California. Our main campus is in Aptos, a small beach community near the center of Santa Cruz County.
Residents enjoy a Mediterranean climate amid redwood forests, sparkling beaches and rich farmland. Local cultural highlights include performing arts events, museums and galleries that showcase the work of artists in every medium. Annual events celebrate the area’s ethnic and cultural diversity, and our agricultural roots are honored weekly on campus at our Saturday morning Cabrillo Farmers Market.
Santa Cruz County is located along the coast of the Monterey Bay National Marine Sanctuary and offers fantastic opportunities for surfing, scuba diving, sea kayaking and sailing. The Santa Cruz Beach Boardwalk is the only major seaside amusement park on the entire West Coast. Dare to ride the Giant Dipper Rollercoaster, or take a spin on one of the oldest carousels still remaining where you can literally go for the brass ring.

- Cabrillo is about 60 km/37 miles from San Jose, Monterey or Carmel and about 120 km/75 miles from San Francisco.
- We’re only four hours away from national landmarks Yosemite and Lake Tahoe.
- The world’s most innovative tech companies—such as Google, Apple, Yahoo!, HP, Adobe and Cisco Systems—are a short drive away in Silicon Valley.
- For nature lovers, you can visit the nearby Monterey Bay Aquarium or hike through Nisene Marks State Park, next door to Cabrillo’s Aptos campus.
