REAL: Reading and English Academic Learning
Improve your reading and writing skills while making friends and having fun! In REAL, your English and Reading instructors coordinate class themes, assignments, and activities to help you succeed in both courses. English 255 and Reading 255 must be taken together during the same semester.

Theme: Media Awareness and Social Networking
Description: How does "the" media (magazines, television, internet, etc.) influence our attitudes and behaviors? How do we define ourselves and our communities in the realm of social networking? Learn how critical thinking can help us navigate these environments responsibly.To participate in this Learning Community, students must enroll in the following two linked courses:
