Verification Letters (Student Status)

We can normally verify your student status within 3-5 working days. During peak times, such as the beginning of a semester, allow at least 2 weeks. After 60 days we destroy any unclaimed forms that were being held for pick up.

To obtain a Verification Letter

Drop it off in person to the Aptos Campus 100 Building, or to either the Watsonvile or Scotts Valley Centers.

You can also mail your request to us at the address provided on the form or fax it to (831) 479-5782.

Like most of your information, letters of verification cannot be released to a third party without your written consent.

Special Instructions for Loan Deferments

Once the semester begins, you can turn in your request to verify student status to defer your loan. Remember to:

Attach your deferment form to the request
Complete the student portion
Make sure to give us the servicer's name and address
Make a copy for your records--we will not return loan deferment forms to you
