Assistive Technology Hardware and Software

Assistive Technology Hardware and Software is available in many locations, listed below. Note: availability can change without notice, so call first if you need to be sure.

ASC Lab, Room 1072

Hardware: Adjustable workstations, trackballs, noise cancelling headsets for speech recognition, regular audio headsets, large print keyboards, ergonomic keyboards, scanners  (for text), large monitors, and one CCTV for print magnification.

Software: Dragon NaturallySpeaking, JAWS, ZoomText Magnifier/Reader, ClaroRead,TextAloud, and commercially available software such as Internet Explorer, Microsoft Office, etc.

Requesting Assistive Technology Accommodations

Most computer classrooms and labs have accessibility features, including large monitors and ZoomText. Some classrooms and labs have adjustable workstations. If you need a specific assistive technology accommodation for a course, please contact ASC at 479-6379 to make a request.
