Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) - Recertification (with online BLS Healthcare Provider Skills Check)
This course is designed for a prepared student who may routinely use ACLS in a clinical setting, whether in or out of the hospital. Upon successful completion of this ACLS recertification course you will be able to:
- Manage a peri-arrest condition that may result in cardiac arrest following the 10 core algorithms.
- Demonstrate one - rescuer CPR/AED
- Manage the first 10 minutes of a cardiac arrest using a team leading approach
- Manage a respiratory arrest
- Pass the closed book test with a score of 84% or greater
Prerequisite: Current ACLS Provider card.
Online BLS portion of the course can be completed in approximately 2 hours.
On-line Course Printed Course Completion Certificate must be brought to the skills check session. * To earn an AHA BLS card in conjunction with AHA Online Renewal, after completing the on-line course, you must demonstrate the required skills to a BLS instructor. Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) Basic Provider Course
This course is designed to aid the pediatric healthcare provider in developing the knowledge and skills necessary to efficiently evaluate and effectively manage seriously ill infants and children.
Upon successful completion of this PALS recertification course you will:
- Actively participate in, practice, and complete all course lessons
- Pass skills tests in child 1-rescuer CPR/AED and infant 1 and 2 rescuer CPR
- Pass a written test with a minimum score of 84%
- Pass 2 PALS core case tests as a team leader
Prerequisite: Working knowledge of ECG's and pediatric pharmacology
Pre-study: is a necessary part of this course. Please allow yourself a 2- week lead time to complete the Pre-course Preparation Checklist inside of the PALS manual.
