As a bonus, you’ll also be getting a sneak peek of the artists who will present workshops and intensives with our Summer Cabrillo Arts program.

Decorative Paper Techniques: Paste Paper with Frank Trueba

In his studio at the Tannery Frank will take you on a journey in the age old technique of creating Paste Paper. This is a method of manipulating paste and pigment on a surface to generate patterns. The designs are created by manipulating the surface, layering patterns, pulling one paper over another and using tools to form the patterns in the paint mixture.

The manipulation not only creates patterns but also dimensionality to the work as well.
