Alerts & Deadlines - Financial Aid - Cabrillo College
Current Alerts & Deadines
Community colleges are required to place students on probation who, after attempting at least 12 semester units, either have a grade point average below 2.0 or receive a "withdrawal", "incomplete", or "no pass" mark on 50% or more of total attempted units. Students who are placed on academic or progress probation for two consecutive semesters lose their priority registration status. Beginning Fall 2016, students will also lose their BOG fee waiver if they have been on academic or progress probation for two consecutive semesters. Those students who lose their fee waiver can regain eligibility when they are no longer on probation or petition, through Admissions and Records, for reinstatement based on extenuating circumstances. Fall loan deadline has passed. You can still apply for a full year loan in the Spring if you complete at least six degree applicable units AND meet Satisfactory Academic Progress this term (Fall 2016). We will begin accepting loan forms again beginning around January 20th.
