Honors Transfer Program

Application Process for Graduating High School Seniors

📝Graduating high school seniors will apply between January 15th to March 15th for Fall 2024 entry. If you missed the deadline, please see the waitlist process information on the sidebar.

If you do not yet have a Cabrillo Student ID #, please complete the application now and email your ID # to us at honors@cabrillo.edu when you receive it.

Steps to Apply

First, apply to Cabrillo College as a matriculating high school senior via CCC Apply .

Review important note below if you have been a dual-enrolled student during high school.

Once you have received a Cabrillo ID#, you will apply to the Honors Transfer Program separately via the online application (see below).

DON'T MISS THE DEADLINE WAITING FOR YOUR CABRILLO ID# - submit the Honors Application and send your ID # to us via email once you receive it.

Second, complete the online Honors Transfer Program Application (Application period Jan. 15th-March 15th for Fall 2024 admission)

Please refer to "Minimum Qualifications" (in the left-side navigation bar) for complete requirements

Required documents listed below will be submitted via our online application:

Unofficial transcript that includes Fall, 2023 semester grades

Letter of recommendation (only required for graduating high school students with weighted GPA below 3.5)

Copy of AP English Language or Literature if applicable

All students must complete the Placement process for English and Math here https://www.cabrillo.edu/placement/

Important Note:

New students must first also complete a separate, online application to Cabrillo College through CCC Apply - This is required even if you have previously taken Cabrillo courses as a concurrently-enrolled high school student. Click HERE TO APPLY to Cabrillo College for Summer or Fall, 2024 Admission (beginning October 2023).

Please apply to Cabrillo College AND complete the online Honors Transfer Program application by the March 15th Deadline. We cannot fully evaluate your application without receipt of all required documents.

If you are graduating from a Santa Cruz County high school, you should also participate in Running Start to College for early registration. See your high school counselor and refer to the Steps to Apply Fall, 2024 as a graduating high school senior to comply with those steps by the deadline.
