| Important Information for New Students
Placement Assessment
All students must take the Placement Assessment when they arrive at Cabrillo College. This is not something that will affect your admission. This test only shows students what level of Math and English they should choose. The sooner you take the test, the sooner you can register for Math and English.
Registration
New students can register for many courses online at https://wave.cabrillo.edu/WebAdvisor/WebAdvisor. You must have your student ID to log in to the student portal and register for classes. Your registration will depend on your English level and you may need to take some ESL courses before being eligible for college level classes. However, with a TOEFL score of 450 or higher, you may take at least one college level class. Good choices for these courses are Communications 1, any Math courses, any Art courses, any Music courses, Early Childhood Education courses, Computer Application/Business Technology courses, and many more. Please note that you cannot register for any Math or English classes without completing an Assessment at Cabrillo College.
