It’s that time again!

Enclosed you will find the 2008 application (online) for the MESA – NSF S-STEM (Scholarship for Science Technology Engineering Mathematics). Please nominate computer science, mathematics, and engineering students with a 2.5 GPA or greater that have plans to attend a CSU, UC, or private university that has an MEP.

For more details please see the attached one-pager that outlines the scholarship. The only students that should apply at this time are those with projected transfer terms for Fall ’08, Spring ’09, & Fall ’09. Students that do not fit within the aforementioned transfer terms should apply during the next cycle.

Students may also download the letters of recommendation from the website. Please be sure to submit packets for your students that include the following:

* Completed letters of recommendation (2 – attached)

* Official transcripts

* Ed-plans (rising sophomores only)

* Financial aid award letters

* Proof of permanent residency/ US citizenship

The application deadline is March 14, 2008 so please encourage your students to apply on time as the system will be closed at 5pm on 3/14/08.
