WHAT IS COLLEGE AND CAREER NIGHT? (Learn more here)

College and Career Night is a chance to meet university representatives from numerous public, private, and out-of-state colleges and universities. It is also an opportunity to meet instructors and representatives from academic, career and ROP programs who will help answer your questions as you plan your career path.

WHO SHOULD ATTEND?

College and Career Night is an opportunity for high school students, parents, transfer students and community members to talk with dozens of universities representatives and career professionals.

- Library (Building 1000) Explore Cabrillo College 2-year programs including transfer
- Cafeteria (Building 900) Discover Career Technical Education (CTE) and Regional Occupation Programs (ROP)

TRANSFER WORKSHOPS

How do I transfer to a 4-year university?
Learn from Cabrillo College counselors what it takes to transfer.

When: 6:30pm / 7:30pm

Where: Gymnasium, Room 1118

FINANCIAL AID WORKSHOPS

How do I pay for college?
Cabrillo College staff will walk you through the financial aid process.

When: 6:15pm / 6:45pm / 7:15pm

Where: Library, Room 1051 (2nd floor)

CAREER TECHNICAL EDUCATION (CTE) AND WORK-BASED LEARNING WORKSHOPS

Wondering What Career Technical Education Is?
Learn by doing, start a career, and/or transfer to a 4-year institution. Come find out about the different CTE programs and pathways available at Cabrillo and in the county.

When: 6:30pm / 7:00pm / 7:30pm

Where: Cafeteria, Room 913 (lower level)

 

HOW TO COME PREPARED?

Invite your parents! Make a list of the colleges and careers you want to explore with questions to ask and a notepad to record your answers and thoughts. Colleges and universities may ask you to fill out information cards. Be sure to bring notes and write down important information including application deadlines. Plan to attend the Financial Aid, Career Technical Education, and Transfer workshops. They are offered multiple times throughout the evening for your convenience!
