| STUDENT FEES
Mandatory student fees include the enrollment fee ($20 per unit), health services fee($15)*, student center fee ($1 per unit, for a maximum of $5 per fall or spring semester) and the Student Representation fee ($1). *Ed Code Section 76355 allows exemption from the health services fee solely for students who depend upon prayer for healing in accordance with the teachings of a bona fide religious sect, denomination or organization, or for students attending Cabrillo under an approved apprenticeship training program.
In addition to the $20 per unit enrollment fee, students who are not residents of California (as defined in the Education Code) pay an additional $174 per unit. International students pay an additional $174 per unit, as well as a $4 capital outlay fee per unit. The capital outlay fee will be reduced to $3 per unit for Fall 2007 and Spring 2008.
Optional fees are charged for parking permits and bus passes. It is recommended that you pay for your parking permit or bus pass when you register.
Parking fees are $40 per semester ($20 for BOG fee waiver students). Without a parking permit, you must pay $2 per day to park in a student lot.
Semester bus passes cost: Fall and Spring, $55; Summer, $15; Wintersession, $10. Without a bus pass, it costs $1.50 per ride or $4.50 per day to ride the bus.
The Board of Governors (BOG) Waiver assists eligible students with enrollment fees. Students may apply for the BOG waiver through the Financial Aid Office.
Fees are subject to change by the Legislature.
Payment Options
You must pay within five days after your register. You will not be able to add or drop courses, receive transcripts, and your name may be sent to the California State Franchise Tax Board if your fees become delinquent.
- WebAdvisor — You
can pay by credit card online. Log in to WebAdvisor,
then click "Make a Payment".
NOTE: The first time you log in, your password is your birth date in mmddyy format.
- HawkTalk (831-479HAWK) — You can pay by credit card by phone.
- Drop Boxes — Pay by check or money order anytime by dropping it in the secure drop box outside the 100 building entrance at the Aptos campus or outside the Watsonville campus. It must include your student ID or social security number on your check or money order. Do not deposit cash in the drop box. Cash payments must be made in person at the College Bank.

Q. What is the refund policy on enrollment fees?
A. A full refund can only be obtained if classes are dropped before the last day of late registration. The refund will be processed within 30 days of the last day of late registration.
Q. Will it be posted to my credit card?
A. Your refund will be posted to your credit card if you paid using WebAdvisor.
Q. Where do I pay for my Student Semester parking sticker or bus pass?
A. You can pay using WebAdvisor, HawkTalk, drop boxes, by mail or in person at the College Bank. The College Bank does not issue parking stickers or bus passes. You may pick up parking or bus passes at Student Affairs Office or at Admissions and Records. Daily Parking Passes Daily parking passes may be purchased from the yellow vending machines in the parking lots for $2.
Q. Where do I pay for the special materials for my class?
A. You must take the paperwork given to you to the College Bank or the Bookstore to make payment.
Reversal of Charges or Refunds
To receive a reversal of charges or refund for courses, YOU must officially withdraw, using WebAdvisor online or HawkTalk.
- When you are dropped by your instructor from a full-term course for non-attendance, you will NOT receive a refund or reversal of charges. If YOU officially withdraw by the published deadline, you will have all fees for those courses reversed or fully refunded. It is YOUR responsibility to officially withdraw from your courses.
- The Winter Session 2008 classes must be officially dropped on or before the first day of class in order for fees to be reversed. The corresponding deadline for Spring 2008 is February 23, 2008.
- Fees for short-term spring and fall courses will be reversed only if you have officially withdrawn by 10% of class meetings. This deadline is often the day of the first class meeting.
- Fees collected in error and fees for classes cancelled by Cabrillo College will be reversed or refunded.
Refund checks will be mailed to the student's address on file within 30 days of the deadline to drop full-term classes with reversal of fees.
