Our degree, certificates, and individual courses are designed to provide you with the knowledge and skills necessary to succeed in the field of graphic design. Whether you're interested in typography, branding, illustration, web design, or any other area of graphic design, our courses can help you develop your skills and expand your knowledge. The Digital Media department provides students with the flexibility and support they need to chart their own educational pathway and build the skills they need for a successful career in the dynamic and ever-changing field of digital media.
Our department is unique in that we collaborate with other departments such as Art-Photography to provide you a wide-ranging educational experience - whether it’s embarking on a new career, advancing your current career, or learning for personal enjoyment.
The ability to freelance and work around the world, along with good traditional employment opportunities, make it an appealing option for those interested in pursuing a career in a creative and dynamic industry.

Degree
We are excited to offer our Graphic Design - Associate in Science Degree which will prepare you to create visual concepts and communicate ideas that inspire, inform, and captivate users in print, screen, and interactive media. This degree prepares students in the diverse field of graphic design, including: visual branding, logo development, advertising, promotional design, digital publishing, interactive media, motion media, digital art, illustration, digital image editing, UI/UX design, web design, and emerging occupations.
The degree is unique in that you can choose your own personal pathway and focus.
Certificates
The Digital Media department offers seven certificates to help you gain new skills and advance your career. A certificate can be earned in as few as 16 units.
Courses
With over 30 courses, many branches of digital media are in front of you to explore. You can create your own pathway, picking the classes that provide the most interest to you and meet your personal and professional goals.
Transferring
Many of our students move on to earn a higher degree.
Cabrillo has an articulation agreement with California State University, Monterey Bay for Communication Design, B.S degree. See a counselor for more details. Course credits earned at Cabrillo can be applied when transferred to CSUMB.
