Carrie Mulcaire serves as the Grant Development Director at Cabrillo College. In this position, she engages faculty and staff to plan, oversee, and prepare complex and varied grant proposals for the purposes of helping Cabrillo meet its strategic goals. During her tenure, she has helped secure over $13+ million in state and federal funding for educational and workforce initiatives in STEM, CTE, basic skills, student support, and Guided Pathways.
Previously, she served as the Director of Technical Assistance and Federal Grants at the International Economic Development Council (IEDC) in Washington, DC from 2006 to 2014, where she oversaw the development of a new national program in disaster preparedness and post-disaster economic recovery where she worked on securing and implementing $4 million in Federal funding.
She has over 23 years of work experience in community, workforce, and economic development, having worked in positions both in the U.S. and in China.
