I started at Cabrillo in April of 2019 as an adjunct instructor in the CABT department, became interim Evening and Weekend Computer Technology Center Coordinator in January 2022, and in August 2022 I became the permanent Evening and Weekend Computer Technology Center Coordinator. I was previously a Cabrillo College student intermittently from 2002-2015 and a student employee in the Watsonville CTC from 2012-2015. I've worked with Microsoft Office products since 1992, Google Suite products since Google Docs launched in 2005, and various Adobe products since 1992 and both PCs and Macs since 1992.
I have a bachelor's degree in general studies with a concentration in Sociology, and a master's degree in communications with a focus on marketing and new media. Prior to teaching at Cabrillo, I spent 21 years in the niche newspaper publishing industry, at a nationally published monthly newspaper for Harley-Davidson enthusiasts. Over the years, I served as graphic designer, associate editor, managing editor, FileMaker developer, customer service, and tech support, often all at once. I developed workflows and processes and procedures to maximize productivity while working in perpetually understaffed circumstances.
