After 15 years of experience in the technology sector, including a notable tenure as IT Manager at United Parcel Service, I transitioned to education, dedicating myself to fostering Computer Science accessibility and inclusivity among students in the San Francisco Bay Area. I have been CIS Faculty at Cabrillo since 2022.
I also work with the Bay Area Cyber League, where my role involves creating cutting-edge Cybersecurity curriculum, and coaching college and high school faculty on Cybersecurity Camps and classes. Our collaboration with NextGen Cyber Talent focuses on uplifting underprivileged and underserved communities, promoting diversity within the Cybersecurity realm.
I am driven by a profound belief in social justice, technology equity, and Cybersecurity and Computer Science education. I am passionate about opening up new horizons of opportunity and knowledge for all learners. I serve on the Board of Directors for Community Television of Santa Cruz, and teach Digital Animation classes to 6-12 graders through the Friends of the Santa Cruz Public Libraries. I'm a California native living my best life in Santa Cruz, enjoy spending time with family, friends and dogs Oliver and Gracie.
