Serina Eichelberger is honored to serve as the Title III HSI STEM Project Director here at Cabrillo College serving Latinx and economically disadvantaged communities in their pursuits of STEM fields. She comes to Cabrillo with over 20 years of experience as an educator and with a passion for empowerment through education. Most recently she has been the Assistant Principal/Site Administrator for Monterey Adult School in Seaside CA. Prior to that, she served as the Lead Science Instructor, Science Curriculum Specialist, Instructional Coach and Garden Instructor for a network of charter schools in East San Jose and East Palo Alto, CA. Serina has a bilingual teaching credential in Biology, Introductory Science and Spanish, a Bachelors degree in Biology and Environmental Studies and a Master of Arts in Education from the University of California, Santa Cruz. While not advocating for educational equity, Serina enjoys days at the beach with her family, rainy days in the Santa Cruz Mountains, sporting events and live music.
