Internships

Our journalism program is the only one in the area, with the exception of Stanford University, with an internship program linking students with well-paying internships with local employers. These are real jobs in the industry, providing students with invaluable hands-on experience. Students work closely with leaders in the industry and gain not only skills but networking opportunities and a portfolio to use when ready to launch their career.

“Do internships. You can read about being a reporter but you really don’t know the full extent until you get in-the-field experience. You can get this invaluable experience through the Journalism program. Papers always appreciate the help, and you get your foot in the door. And working on the Cabrillo Voice is a must!”
