Personal Training

Build a Future in Fitness!

If you love exercise and health and are looking for a rewarding career, consider personal training.

A certified personal trainer will have the opportunity to obtain employment in the fitness industry in fitness centers, parks and recreation, educational settings, private businesses, and corporations. A personal trainer certification can also be a pathway to careers in strength and conditioning, group exercise, physical therapy, and athletic training.

An exercise trainer earns a median salary of $54,418.

Our Certificate of Achievement program requires the completion of six courses and could be completed in two semesters as a part-time student. You will be prepared for a career in health and fitness with classes that emphasize nutrition, anatomy, exercise physiology, and exercise psychology. Importantly, you will get hands-on guidance through on-campus internships and train in our state-of-the-art wellness education center.

Whether you are exploring fitness as a side job or a full-time career, Cabrillo’s Certificate of Achievement in Personal Training will get your foot in the door. Our program prepares students to pass a national certification exam and become a Certified Personal Trainer.
