Cabrillo’s Makerspace brings together like-minded young people, mentors, educators and community members in our digital fabrication facilities to help make ideas become reality.

This collaborative community celebrates an open-ended culture of creativity, innovation, and experimentation. Diverse disciplines like math, science, art, craft, engineering, green design, music, and more, come together into ambitious projects.

Meet Carleen, a Makerspace student assistant since 2020. As a studio arts major, she blends artistic creativity with technical expertise. Proficient in 3D printing, laser engraving, vinyl cutting, and Adobe Creative Cloud, especially Photoshop and Illustrator.

Makerspace Peer Tech Coach

Meet Tammy, our Makerspace student assistant since 2020. A Studio Arts major. Proficient in a wide range of tools and technologies, Tammy excels in 3D printing, laser engraving/cutting, vinyl cutting, sticker making, and screen printing. Also skilled in Adobe Illustrator. With a passion for blending art and technology, Tammy is your go-to source for creative projects in the Makerspace.

Makerspace Peer Tech Coach

Meet Chris, a Makerspace student assistant since 2019. As an engineering major, he excels in CAD and 3D modeling and is proficient in 3D printing, laser engraving/cutting, and the vinyl cutter. Chris also wields Adobe software expertise for creative projects, and is passionate about blending technology and innovation, he helps turn ideas into reality within our Makerspace community.
