What is a waitlist?

  • A waitlist keeps track of students who are waiting for a spot in a class that is full.

How do you get on the waitlist?

What happens after I add myself to the waitlist?

  • It is a students responsiblity to monitor their waitlist status. Students will recive an email if a spot becomes avalible and they are next on the waitlist. Students have 72 hours to register themselves for the course. If they do not register withing the 72 hour window they will be dropped from the waitlist. If this happens, they will be able to add themsleves to the waitlist again. Their name will go to the bottom of the waitlist and the process will begin again.

I added myself to a waitlist, will I get a spot?

  • We do not guarantee that students will get a spot in any class. Students are responsible for adding themselves to the waitlist, monitoring their waitlist status and registering for the class.

How can I get priority on the waitlist?

  • There is no way to get priority on the waitlist. Students are encouraged to plan and register for classes as soon as possible to avoid being on the waitlist.

What happens if I am still on the waitlist when the semester starts?

  • Attend the first and second class meetings (if the class meets in person) or email the instructor (if the class is online) even if you are still on the waitlist. You will need to let the instructor know that you are on the waitlist and are interested in adding the class. If they have room available they may provide you with an add code to register for the class. If you do not get an add code from the instructor within the first two meetings of the class, its safe to assume that you will not be able to add that class.
