Welcome to the Westside Choir!
We are a Cabrillo College-based choir made up of people who simply love singing! We sing a variety of music across different genres with an emphasis on folk songs & gospel music. If you'd like to see us in concert:

If you're looking for an opportunity to sing, learn or improve your basic music theory and vocal techniques, and meet new people, you are welcome to join us! We don't have auditions, but we do ask for a strong commitment and dedication to growing your skills.
Jussi Doherty
Jussi Doherty moved to the Bay Area from Florida in 2018, where he led successful middle and high school choir programs. His interest in choir began in high school when he initially served as a choir accompanist. This sparked a passion for choral music that led to formal voice study and subsequently choral conducting.
Jussi received two degrees in choral music education from Florida State University. During his time in Florida, Jussi served in multiple roles for the Florida Vocal Association and coordinated All-County choirs in both Orange and Lee County School Districts.
He is active as an adjudicator and honor choir clinician.
