The Art Photography program offers 39 photography and videography courses in black and white film photography, alternative processes, digital photography, studio lighting, video art, and a variety of courses which explore photography's impact on our world and emphasize technical skills and creative image making. Art Photography is part of the Art Studio program in the Visual, Applied, and Performing Arts Division. All Art Photography classes transfer either to the UC or CSU systems. We offer both art and commercial classes. By participating in our program, you have the opportunity to:

Start with the AP1A Foundations of Photography course to be served a buffet of hands-on photo processes within the photography department and watch our video about AP1A Foundations of Photography!
