William (Skip) Epperson, Jr.
Theatre Arts, Cabrillo Stage

Skip Epperson is proud to be teaching at Cabrillo for over 30 years. Over these years, Skip has worked at a variety of theaters in a variety of capacities, and currently serves as co-chair of the Theatre Arts Department at Cabrillo College and as resident designer for Cabrillo Theatre Arts and Cabrillo Stage. Recipient of the Gail Rich award to local artists and the prestigious Rydell Fellowship, his designs have appeared on the stages of Shakespeare Santa Cruz, Jewel Theater, Twin Lakes and Santa Cruz Bible churches, CYT (Christian Youth Theater Santa Cruz) as well as film, commercial work and installations. Some of his favorite designs include: Death of a Salesman with Cabrillo Theatre Arts, Beauty and the Beast with Cabrillo Stage, Red with Actors Theatre, and whatever show he is working on now. While he loves to design, Skip enjoys bringing others along on the creative journey; he has been told that he is a gifted teacher and coach. He is also passionate about spending time with his loving wife, 4 kids, 5 grand-babies, and Penny the smiling corgi!
