Cabrillo Academic Divisions:
Career and Academic Pathways
Our Career and Academic Pathways (CAPs) help students to connect with other students and faculty who share their academic and professional interests. CAPs make it easy to find resources to support your unique journey, learn more about careers in your field, and attend events related to your discipline.
Career Education
The wide-ranging Career Education programs offer courses that are both academic and career-oriented. Our students are ready for a diverse selection of high-wage, high-skill, in-demand careers. Our cutting-edge programs provide students with the chance to gain hands-on experience through applied course work and work-based learning opportunities or to prepare them to transfer to four-year institutions
Distance Education
The Distance Education Program is designed to make online education accessible, and to remove barriers that delay students' progress, particularly for first generation college students, working students, and students who seek a credential or transfer to a college/university.
Dual Enrollment
Dual enrollment allows high school students to participate in college courses at Cabrillo and earn college credit while they are in high school. Classes are at no charge to students. Get a head start on a CTE degree or certificate, finish general education requirements, take a class that will fulfill a high school requirement, or explore something new!
Honors Transfer Program
Cabrillo's Honors Transfer Program is a community of diverse, motivated students and dedicated faculty. Our academic program provides engaging, enriching, and supportive learning opportunities to students seeking to transfer to competitive universities. This program is about digging deeper, going beyond the textbook, and sharing your talents and interests with other highly motivated students.
Learning Communities
Learning Communities are academic programs designed to help students achieve their college goals. Through a series of program classes students enhance their academic skills to accomplish career or transfer goals all while receiving the support and guidance of our Learning Communities team.
Noncredit Courses
Noncredit courses focus on building skills rather than earning grades or units and take the stress out of learning! These courses are designed to serve a diverse student population. Our tuition-free courses advance career and life skills, provide onramps to college programs, and they are easy to start. There is a growing number of noncredit courses in Career Technical Education.
