Zany comic gold that starts where HAMLET ends!
HAMLET characters continue on, both living and dead, in this wacky satire about truth, lies, power and passion.
Cabrillo Theatre Arts presents its spring production of Fortinbras by Lee Blessing, directed by Robin Aronson. A zany political satire, FORTINBRAS begins where HAMLET ends. Prince Fortinbras of Norway arrives at the castle to find Hamlet and the royal family dead on the floor. He quickly becomes the new king, fabricating a fake story to legitimize his claim to power. This infuriates Horatio, Hamlet's loyal friend, who is determined that the truth of what happened at the castle be known to the world. Meanwhile, the ghosts of the Hamlet, Ophelia, Claudius, Gertrude, Polonius and Laertes come to haunt Fortinbras’ every move. Comic mayhem ensues!

Mexican Folklorico Dance Company celebrates “Espíritu de México”
Esperanza del Valle, Ballet Folklorico Dance Company of Santa Cruz County, proudly presents our
45th Anniversary Performance "Espiritu de Mexico" honoring the work of our master teachers of Mexico with regional dance and music of Mexico.
Enjoy the colorful regions of Guerrero, Huasteca, Veracruz, Jalisco, Colima y Nayarit, including our choreodramas, "Macaria”, “La Mula Chula” y “Los Dos Hermanos", with music by Nematatlin de la Universidad Veracruzana and Mariachi Tapatío de San José.
Special guest artists including the Artistic Director and dancers of the Ballet Folklórico del Puerto de Veracruz de la Universidad Veracruzana, will grace the stage with Esperanza del Valle!

Esperanza del Valle, Compañía de Danza Folklórica del condado de Santa Cruz, se enorgullece en presentar nuestra 45 aniversario función de gala, “Espíritu de México” honrando el trabajo de nuestros maestros al presentar música y bailes regionales de México.
Disfrute de las coloridas regiones de la Huasteca, Guerrero, Colima, Nayarit, Veracruz y Jalisco, incluyendo nuestro coreodramas “Macaria”, “La Mula Chula” y “Los Dos Hermanos” con música en vivo con Nematatlin de la Universidad Veracruzana y Mariachi Tapatío de San José.
El escenario será galardonado con nuestros artistas invitados, el Director Artístico y bailarines del Ballet Folklórico del Puerto de Veracruz de la Universidad Veracruzana.
