Apply Directly at www.fafsa.ed.gov >>

Financial aid can help you pay for mandatory college fees, textbooks, transportation, room and board and other educational expenses while attending Cabrillo. It would be well worth your time to explore what’s available. Applying is both free and confidential. For more information click on the links to the right.

Step 3: Complete the Online Orientation

Online Orientation >>

Matriculation Services >>

Whether you are a recent high school graduate, returning to college after years in a career, or attending college for the first time, our online orientation is a requirement. If you have completed orientation at another college, please provide documentation to Admissions and Records so we can update your record and so you will not lose priority registration.

 Step 4: Take Assessment Tests

Assessment Schedule>>

Do I Need Assessment?>>

If you are a first-time student with no prior college coursework, you need to assess for math, English or ESL course placement. If you have assessed at another college or have coursework in math, English or ESL, submit official test scores and official transcripts of that work to Admissions and Records so we can update your record so you will not lose priority registration.

Step 5: Attend an Education Plan Workshop

Counseling Services >>

Identify your major early. Before you see a counselor for an Education Plan, you must attend an Education Plan Workshop. This two hour session will inform you of the components of an education plan and prepare you for your counseling appointment. You will leave the Education Plan Workshop with an “Abbreviated Education Plan" to get you started. This will also maintain your priority registration.

You will need to identify a major to complete this comprehensive plan.
