Be prepared to share your qualifications:
Dress professionally, yet more conservatively, in clean pressed clothes. See next FAQ: "What should I wear?".
Students are encouraged to dress for success in business casual. When in doubt, it's better to dress more formally, rather than too casually.
Appropriate business casual outfits for women include a skirt or dress slacks, blouse, sweater, twinset, jacket (optional), and closed-toe shoes. Sandals or peep-toe shoes may be permissible in some offices but save flip-flops for the weekend.
For men, appropriate business casual attire is dress slacks or chinos, a button-down shirt, dark socks, and dress shoes. Avoid wearing polo shirts to an interview, even if they are acceptable for the job in question. Do not wear jeans or shorts. Athletic socks are also a no-no.
We highly recommend coming with your resume. We have a resume workshop as part of Career Week on April 6 (join us!) and we will also have professionals available for resume review.
Yes! Employers will be hiring and some will conduct on-site interviews. Our Monday, May 4 event “How to Prep for a Job Fair,” will have more helpful tips so be sure to come!
Cabrillo’s annual Job & Internship Fair is the perfect opportunity for employers to connect with local rising talent.
Employers are invited to host a table at our job fair on Wednesday, May 6, from 10:30 am-1:30pm. The event is FREE for all employers participating in the fair.
Thanks to employer feedback, we are helping students prepare in advance with Career Week so that employers can get the most from their recruiting efforts at the Fair.
